Weird guy. He makes videos on how badly privacy is treated, and speaks several times of “responsible disclosure”, and then in the “I know what you did five minutes ago” video, he, although partly blurred on video, presents in front of hundreds of people, tweets and Facebook accounts of people who has not properly set their privacy settings (or got them changed automatically…), lets an algorithm select one to harass, claiming to have made sure it’s not someone likely to be too sensitive – as if that could be ascertained by what’s in the profile -SHOWS every detail for the audience and CALLS him, giving creepy details and a cheer from the audience, on an anonymous prepaid phone, that he then destroys to make sure the victim can’t even call back to try to find out what happened!
If I was technologically illiterate enough to have a Facebook account, and improperly set up privacy in that way, and that happened to me, I’d be completely devastated, almost on the verge of killing myself. Seriously.
You could argue that the victim brought it upon himself by not having proper privacy settings – that’s the same argument as saying women who dress sexy bring rape upon themselves.
The video in this post is great, and so are most of the others, but that one “I know what you did five minutes ago” makes me completely dislike this guy.
